If you don't have one of these qualifications then you will probably want to attend a course to get one. These are generally fun and the best way to improve your sailing. We the North London Sailing Association do not run courses, but they are available at the Stoke Newington West Reservoir. Contact Greenwich Leisure Limited on 020 8442 8116. Their website is :-

Stoke Newington West Reservoir.
This is a surprising sailing oasis located behind the Castle Climbing Wall, just off Green Lanes.
Sailing times are Sundays 10am till 1pm and during British Summer Time only Tuesdays 6 till 8pm. This is a chance to relax and enjoy being on the water. We also organise race series and everyone is encouraged to take part, whatever their level of ability.
Use of the boats is included in the membership fee.
Brightlingsea Coastal Base.
During the summer months we arrange weekends at our coastal base at Brightlingsea, Essex between Colchester and Clacton. This is a fantastic location and a great place to meet and get to know other members. You will sail with others in our fleet of Wayfarer dinghies, usually sailing to a picnic spot for lunch ashore before returning to the NLSA's base for dinner and possibly a walk across the road to one of the local pubs.
Trips to Brightlingsea are very affordable and include most meals plus accommodation and the use of the boats.
